Ultimate normally make inbuilt and freestanding models of all their woodheaters. The baffleplates have an upward fold at the front and an airbar with holes in it at the back. Ultimates more recent woodheaters have a second airbar above the baffleplate which is only seen when the baffleplate is removed. These double airbar baffleplates are sometimes installed upsidedown. This is not a good idea.
The baffleplate rests in L-sections at the back and steel pins at the sides towards the front. The L-sections may have been bent forward at some time to make it easier to remove or replace the baffleplate. To remove the baffleplate, lift the back clear of the rear supports; move it forward clear of the rear supports and then lower the back so that the baffleplate comes off the front supports. The plate can then be maneuvered through the firedoor if it is not warped too much.
